"The development of STEM proficient students begins in elementary schools."
School Improvement in Maryland
How We Do It?
Students are engaged in STEM-A-Mentary with interactive lessons and hands-on activities. They must learn to work together in teams and individually to complete the program challenges.
Each session of STEM-A-Mentary explores an aspect of the STEM universe and culminates with an activity that requires students to demonstrate what they have learned. Topics in the program include natural science, architecture, engineering, and scientific experimentation.
A couple of our program modules are:
Natural Science:
The natural science sessions provide students with a look at topics such as physics, biology, and chemistry. Students look at their surrounding world and see how it all relates to STEM, specifically natural science.
“Green”
“Green” subjects such as solar power, wind energy, water conservation, and building efficiency are all introduced to students in this session.
